I think another reason I have this note category is that I find the idea of Philosophy interesting. I like the idea of thinking about thinking. Or considering what other things may be going on besides the obvious.
I think the reason I’m so turned off by the aesthetics of Philosophy is the argumentation. I don’t like arguments or debates. I don’t think this has to be intrinsic to philosophical ideas. But, it does seem like people into these ideas enjoy arguing about them.
To me, the concerns in Philosophy seem so abstract and distant from my lived life that putting energy into yelling about them is absurd. I don’t even like yelling about things I should be yelling about.

I don’t understand the point of Philosophy… That said, I think a lot of the topics I think about are probably in this realm. I don’t have a good top level container for this kind of thought yet, so I’m putting them here for now.
Really it seems like “Philosophy” is a bit of a catch all category for “anything”.
Thoughts in this bucket:

- Learning occurs when you write
- Your personal system should optimize for flexibility, following your whims, and managing your motivation to use it.
- Note Taking
- Friendcatchers
- Pity trap
- Facilitation
- Metcalfe’s law - networks become exponentially more valuable with size
