I feel pretty aligned with this article. There’s a sort of “psychic toll” I feel like I’m taking in recent months working in tech, primarily due to AI.

- Getting people in tech to believe that human communication is important
I feel like that sums up a lot of my recent frustration with the proliferation of AI shortcuts at work. All of the things that AI is replacing or accelerating – PR review, reading code, coming up with an implementation plan were acts of communication with your coworkers.
We’re continually cutting down the places we communicate and replacing them with chatbots. It is exhausting and I think it is going to be damaging to our understanding of our products in the long term.
