It is funny reading old entries where I was clearly fresh off being really annoyed at someone on the Internet. I still agree with the old version of me. Most conversations debating genre are a waste of time.
There are some places where trying to align on definitions can be useful. Mostly so that you can go on continuing to have a different much more interesting conversation that uses one of these definitions as a building block.

This is a combo thought that comes from the perennial idiotic conversations about “metroidbrainia” being a stupid term. No that’s not a rogulike that’s a roguelite. Who gives a shit!!!!
