I always forget this is a thing. We only really use http and https. I suppose we also use ws as well.
I recently read something that talked about gopher protocol and that was cool to learn about. A standard that was usurped by http.
Browsers just supported both things.
Could I write my own protocol? Or do browsers only support specific implemented protocols?
